Terms of sale and license
In short: a one-time purchase of a digital edition, licensed to your organization for internal use. Use the contacts lawfully. Do not resell the data. If something is wrong with the files, we fix it or refund you.
These terms govern the sale and license of Brazil Companies 2026 (the "edition") by Piafter, the trade name of 57.233.981 GUILHERME BERTOLASSI CORREA, registered in Brazil under CNPJ 57.233.981/0001-34, Avenida Amphilophio Trindade, 130, Praia do Pecado, Macaé, RJ, 27920-480, Brazil ("Piafter", "we", "us"). You accept them by ticking the box at checkout. The refund policy and the privacy policy are part of these terms.
1. Who we sell to
The edition is a business product, made for companies, institutions and professionals who use it in their work. By buying, you confirm that you buy it for business or professional purposes. If you buy it as a private consumer, the mandatory consumer rights of your country still apply, and nothing in these terms limits them.
2. The product
A one-time download of the November 2026 edition: a PDF report, an Excel workbook, CSV files and a license file, as described on the product page at the time of purchase. The edition reflects the registry release stated in the report's methodology and is not updated after purchase. There is no subscription, no account and no recurring charge.
3. Price, taxes and payment
The price is US$199 per edition, charged once, in US dollars, by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details. Your bank may add currency conversion or international transaction fees, which we do not control. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay; where taxes apply, they are shown before you pay. Stripe emails a receipt, and you can add your company name, billing address and tax ID at checkout.
4. Delivery
After payment you are taken to your order page, which has the download button. The link works for 3 days and up to 3 downloads, so your team can get the files and a failed download can be repeated. If the link expires or you lose it, write to contact@piafter.com with your order number and we send a new one, free of charge, for 12 months after the purchase. We record the date and the IP address of each download to protect your order and to resolve disputes.
5. License
5.1 Grant. On full payment, we grant the purchasing organization a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the edition internally.
5.2 Allowed. Use by your employees and by contractors working on your behalf. Analysis, planning, market sizing, investment research, and sales and marketing to the listed companies. Importing the data into your internal tools, such as a CRM or BI system. Quoting figures and charts from the report in your presentations, reports and publications, with the credit "Source: Brazil Companies 2026, Piafter".
5.3 Not allowed. Selling, reselling, sublicensing, renting, sharing or giving the dataset or the report, in whole or in substantial part, to third parties. Publishing it online, or including it in a product, database or service offered to others. Using it to build a competing data product. Removing the license and source notices. Using the contacts for any unlawful purpose.
5.4 Agencies and consultancies. You may use the edition to deliver work for your clients, such as analyses, reports or campaigns, but you may not hand the dataset itself over to them. A client that wants the dataset needs its own license.
5.5 End of the license. The license ends automatically if you breach this section or if the payment is refunded or reversed. You must then delete the files.
6. Using the company contacts
The company list contains the business phone numbers and email addresses that companies registered with Receita Federal. You decide how to use them and you are responsible for that use. You agree to:
- comply with the laws that apply to you and to the people you contact, such as LGPD in Brazil, GDPR and ePrivacy rules in the European Union and the United Kingdom, CAN-SPAM in the United States and CASL in Canada;
- identify yourself in every message and honor opt-out requests promptly;
- not use the data for spam, fraud, harassment, debt collection on behalf of others, credit scoring, or decisions about individuals.
You will indemnify Piafter against third-party claims caused by your misuse of the contacts.
7. Source data and accuracy
The edition is built from Brazil's federal business registry (CNPJ), kept by Receita Federal do Brasil, and from IBGE statistics. Piafter is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Brazilian government, and the edition is not an official publication. Registry data contains errors, outdated entries and companies that are registered as active but no longer operate, and share capital is declared by the companies themselves. We clean and classify the data as described in the report's methodology, but we cannot guarantee that every record is accurate or complete. Check critical information with the company or with official sources before relying on it for legal, financial or credit decisions.
8. Intellectual property
The report text, charts, classifications, rankings, translations and methodology, and the selection and arrangement of the data, are Piafter's work and are protected by copyright (Brazilian Law 9,610/1998) and by database rights where they exist. The underlying public records are not ours: the license covers our edition, not the public data itself.
9. Warranty and liability
We warrant that the files match the description on the product page. If they do not, the remedy is the one in the refund policy: corrected files or a full refund. Beyond that, the edition is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the edition is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Problems and chargebacks
If something is wrong, write to contact@piafter.com first. We answer within two business days. Opening a chargeback suspends the license and the download link while it is reviewed.
11. Changes
We may update these terms for future purchases. The version you accepted at checkout governs your purchase.
12. Law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, have jurisdiction, except where mandatory law gives you the right to go to the courts of your own country. The English version of these terms is the reference version.
