Privacy policy
In short: we collect only what we need to sell and deliver the edition and to keep the site safe. We do not sell visitor or buyer data and we do not run ads. The company data inside the edition excludes individuals by design, and any company or person can ask to be removed.
This policy explains how Piafter, the trade name of 57.233.981 GUILHERME BERTOLASSI CORREA, registered in Brazil under CNPJ 57.233.981/0001-34, Avenida Amphilophio Trindade, 130, Praia do Pecado, Macaé, RJ, 27920-480, Brazil ("Piafter", "we") handles personal data on brazildata.piafter.com and in Brazil Companies 2026. Piafter is the controller of the data described here. Our data protection officer (encarregado, LGPD art. 41) is Guilherme Bertolassi Correa, reachable at contact@piafter.com.
1. Visiting this website
Our server records each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and referring page. Brazilian law (Marco Civil da Internet, Law 12,965/2014, art. 15) requires us to keep these access records for six months, and we also use them to keep the site secure and to prevent abuse. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest (LGPD art. 7, II and IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(c) and (f)). Fonts and images are served from our own server: opening a page loads nothing from third parties.
2. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used, including the click on "Buy", the free sample download and completed purchases (order number and amount, never your name or email). Google receives your IP address, which it does not store, your browser, device and approximate location.
Until you accept cookies, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode: it sets no cookies and sends only anonymous signals, which Google uses to estimate totals (legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring the use of our website, LGPD art. 7, IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). If you click "Accept", it also sets the cookies listed in section 10 (legal basis: consent, LGPD art. 7, I; GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). You can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. We do not use advertising cookies. Google keeps the data for 14 months.
3. When you buy
Payment is handled by Stripe, which receives your card details directly and processes them under its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive your name, email, billing address and country, your company name and tax ID if you give them, the amount paid and the payment references. When you download, we record the date and IP address of each download. We use this to deliver the files, send the receipt and invoice, answer support requests, prevent fraud, resolve chargebacks and meet accounting and tax obligations. Legal bases: performance of a contract, legal obligation and legitimate interest in preventing fraud (LGPD art. 7, V, II and IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(b), (c) and (f)).
We keep order records for five years after the end of the year of sale, as Brazilian tax law requires, and download records for two years.
4. When you write to us
If you email us, we use your message and address to reply and keep them for up to two years after the last contact, or longer when they concern an order, under the rule above.
5. Who receives the data
- Stripe (United States and Ireland): payments, receipts and invoices.
- Our server provider: hosts the website and the order system.
- Zoho: our email provider, for messages you send us.
- Google (United States): website analytics.
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data of visitors or buyers and do not share it for advertising.
6. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside Brazil and outside your country. These transfers rely on the providers' contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses (LGPD art. 33; GDPR art. 46).
7. Security
The site runs only over HTTPS. The product files are not publicly reachable: each order has its own download link. Payment keys are held with minimal permissions, and access to order data is limited to Piafter.
8. Data inside our products
Source. Brazil Companies 2026 is built from Brazil's federal business registry (CNPJ), kept by Receita Federal do Brasil, and from IBGE statistics.
What we include. Data about companies: names, addresses, registered business phone numbers and email addresses, activity, size, share capital, establishments and corporate shareholders.
What we exclude, on purpose. Sole proprietors and micro-entrepreneurs (MEI), whose registry record is the owner's personal data; names of individual partners and shareholders; personal ID numbers (CPF); and email addresses that identify a person, which an automated filter removes. Some personal data may remain by accident, for example a company name that contains its founder's name, exactly as it appears in the registry, or an email the filter missed.
Legal basis. Legitimate interest in publishing business information that is already public, used for the purpose for which it was made public: contacting and studying companies (LGPD art. 7, IX, and §§ 3 and 4). Buyers are bound by license to use the contacts lawfully and to honor opt-out requests.
Removal. Any company, or any person whose data appears, can ask to be removed. See data removal.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we process your data and to give you access to it, correct it, anonymize, block or delete it, port it, tell you who we share it with, and withdraw consent. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@piafter.com; we answer within 15 days. You can complain to Brazil's data protection authority (ANPD) or, in the European Union and the United Kingdom, to your local supervisory authority.
10. Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. Your choice in the cookie notice is saved in your browser's local storage (key
bd-consent, not a cookie) for 12 months, so we do not ask again on every visit. If you accept, Google Analytics
sets:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells visits from the same browser apart | 2 years | |
_ga_P9F47FD4MT | Keeps the state of the visit | 2 years |
To change your choice, use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page.
11. Children
This website and the edition are not intended for children.
12. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change.
